If You Can’t Go Outside, Go Inside.

You are currently viewing If You Can’t Go Outside, Go Inside.

We’re a couple of weeks into quarantine, by now you’ve more than likely to have watched all of Netflix shows, become a chef, painter, tapped into every live session, re-visited the refrigerator for the 27th times and reached the end of your Instagram scrolls.

Some days you wake up feeling full of energy, ready to smash that to-do list and other days you have to drag yourself out of bed and vegetate in front of Netflix all day with the background music “Bored in the house by Tyga“. It is until you catch your reflection in the pause of the Netflix show episodes that you acknowledge your toxic trait: Staying up late and complaining the next morning.

It’s easy to fall into the trap of boredom and unhappiness. Yes, you’re stuck at home and yes, there’s nothing you can do about it. But if you can’t go outside, how about going inside?

The world has clicked on the pause button. Unprecedented and you’re probably never going to get an opportunity to slow down like this again, so you want to ensure you make the most of it — Be The Upgraded COVID-19-Quarantined Version of yourself.

Combatting COVID-19, May Result In Combatting Boredom

Okay, let’s be real, we’ve all googled on what to do at home and come across 200 ideas. After all the virtual space doesn’t lack information on what to do from the comfort of your home. Especially when there are multiple courses on the tap of your fingers, or that content waiting to be created or possibly that TikTok dance waiting to be learned.

You now have a choice to make: you can either waste away the moments that make up a dull day or use this time to your advantage. You can continue to laze around or you could embark upon a journey of self-improvement and helping others.

It’s time to marvel what’s inside you. To reshuffle your priorities and tap into your creativity. Now we have time to go slow, pay attention to the movements, to the emotions, to our reactions. We have time to listen to what our body wants to tell us. We have the time to acknowledge our signs.

By going inward purposefully, we can better understand what motivates us, what distracts us and what sabotages us. We can identify our core values and purposes – and plan to align our life accordingly.

“At the end going inside, can help make our outer journeys, whenever we resume, more effective.”

I hope you read this cocooned in your home under lockdown or self-quarantine!
